Booking terms

1. Provider and scope

These terms apply to direct bookings with Jürgen Deutschmann, Chalet Bergblick, Kreuztal 5a, 8812 Sankt Blasen, Austria. Any individual written agreement in your offer or booking confirmation takes precedence over these terms.

2. Enquiry and booking confirmation

The website form sends a non-binding enquiry only and is not an instant booking. We personally check the dates and availability. We then provide the binding total price, confirmed check-in time, payment method and deposit deadline in writing. A booking becomes binding only after we have confirmed it in writing and the 30% deposit has reached us by the stated deadline.

3. Booking price and visitor tax

The booking price shown in our personal offer includes the accommodation price and mandatory final cleaning. Any statutory visitor tax is not part of the booking price and, unless the offer states otherwise, is collected separately on arrival in accordance with the law then in force.

4. Deposit and balance

After our personal confirmation, a deposit of 30% of the booking price is due via the payment method we provide. According to the choice recorded in your offer, the remaining 70% is paid either online no later than 14 calendar days before arrival or in cash on arrival. If the booking is confirmed within 14 days before arrival, the deposit and – where online payment was chosen – the balance are due immediately. No payment is requested before our personal confirmation.

5. Free cancellation

Cancellation is free if it reaches us no later than the exact point 72 hours before the check-in time stated in the booking confirmation. The threshold itself is included in the free cancellation period. Receipt of the cancellation and the Europe/Vienna time zone determine whether it is timely. For example, if check-in is confirmed for Friday at 3 pm, a cancellation received through Tuesday at 3 pm is free. All amounts already paid, including the deposit, are refunded in full following a timely cancellation.

6. Late cancellation and no-show

After the free-cancellation deadline and in the event of a no-show, the cancellation fee is 30% of the booking price. The deposit is applied to that fee. You may prove that we suffered no loss or a substantially lower loss. Revenue from rebooking the same dates is credited when calculating the fee. Any further amount already paid is refunded after deduction of the justified cancellation fee.

7. How to cancel

Send a clear cancellation with your name and travel dates to juergen.deutschmann@icloud.com. We will confirm receipt in writing. The time at which the notice reaches us determines whether the deadline was met.

8. No statutory 14-day right of withdrawal

Accommodation booked for a specific date or period is generally exempt from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under section 18(1)(10) of the Austrian FAGG. The agreed free cancellation through 72 hours before confirmed check-in remains unaffected.

9. Confirmation in a durable form

We send the binding total price, travel dates, payment choice, confirmed check-in time and the version of these terms applying to your booking with the booking confirmation by email so that you can save them.
